SECO 2015 is Coming! Are You Ready??

Spring is just around the corner and that means it’s time to hit the road and head to Atlanta for SECO 2015 from March 4-8! Not so sure about going?

Here are all the reasons YOU should go to SECO:

  • Students do not pay any registration fee (with proof of enrollment at an accredited optometry program).
  • You automatically get a $100 stipend to help offset the cost of the conference.
  • FREE CE on a wide variety of topics from disease to neuro to practice management.
  • The Student Symposium on Saturday. This event will feature the Future Professionals Forum, a free lunch, and a chance to win one of four $1,000 scholarships!
  • The famous Student Party sponsored by HOYA on Friday night. This event is a lot of fun, with free food, free drinks and a DJ! This an excellent opportunity to hang with your fellow optometry students and make some new friends.SECO
  • The marquis social event of the conference will be The Saturday Night Under the Lights Party! This will take place at the newly opened College Football Hall of Fame and will be a tailgate style party, featuring the country music band Natalie Stoval and the Drive. When you register for SECO, you will be asked what your favorite college football team is which customizes your Hall of Fame experience! Make sure you also show off your team spirit because there will be prizes!! (Photo to the right is the OS team at last year’s 80’s bash…SECO really knows how to throw a party!)

As someone who went to SECO 2014, I can say this conference is well worth your time and money! It attracts some the best CE speakers in our profession as well as provides some of the best social events out of any optometric conference. I had many great memories last year and I hope to repeat them this year. See you in Atlanta!
