Everyone at Optometry Students is proud to work with Dr. Kyle Delk, who was born and raised in the close-knit community of Port Neches, TX. There he developed strong values of genuine community connection, kindness, and a friendly demeanor—principles central to his patient care. Dr. Kyle graduated magna cum laude with his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Lamar University. His dedication to advancing eye care was recognized early when he received a scholarship to perform specialized summer research in Dry Eye at the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO). He earned his Doctorate of Optometry, receiving multiple clinical excellence awards and academic scholarships. While completing an additional clinical training at a community health clinic in Houston, Dr. Kyle received extensive training in ocular pathology and conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. He also pursued specialized training in treating severe dry eye disease, fitting specialty contact lenses, and serving the unique needs of the special needs population. Dr. Kyle serves on the board of directors for the Beaumont Area Council of the Blind and on various state committees for the American Council of the Blind of Texas. He is actively involved with the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association, staying at the forefront of advancements in eye care. He works diligently on OptometryStudents.com to help amplify your unique student voice, helping others navigate their optometric journeys with confidence and success. When he is not working, Dr. Kyle enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog. He also loves reading, music, and playing pickleball.
