University of Montreal, Ecole D Optometrie

The School of Optometry at the University of Montreal was founded in 1910, in the years following the enactment of the first Optometry Act. The School of Optometry at the University of Montreal has a mission that focuses on three (3) areas: education, research and outreach. The school must help ensure that the optometrist has the highest level of knowledge and skills to intervene with the population, according to North American standards of practice as a health professional working at the forefront of eye and vision care.
