New England College of Optometry
Class of 2016Optometrist at Binghamton Eye Associates, Binghamton, NY, following residency in Primary Care & Ocular Disease at VAMC Wilmington, DE. For my dual OD/MS degree from NECO, I performed research in Dr. Rucker’s lab on the impact of different effector molecules on emmetropization in the developing chick. I served as student blogger for the school website and vice president of NECO’s Private Practice Club. The summer after my first year at NECO, I studied dispensing optics at Aalen University, Germany. During my second clinical rotation, I joined the optometry program at Aston University in Birmingham, England. I also volunteer for NJ Special Olympics and participated in a mission trip to provide optometric care to the underprivileged population of Belize. It is my goal to use these experiences to improve vision care for all people, wherever they may live.
