The Ohio State University College of Optometry

Founded in 1914, The Ohio State University College of Optometry in Columbus, Ohio, has been educating the nation’s leaders in optometry for over 100 years. Strong relationships between students and faculty members, our small class sizes, and a healthy dose of Buckeye spirit create a friendly and family-oriented atmosphere for students, faculty, and staff. Students enrich their education through required clinical rotations of various specialties such as binocular vision/pediatrics, contact lenses, private practice, VA, advanced ocular care, etc. Students have multiple avenues to pursue research with the ability to complete our combined OD/MS program. Outside the classroom, students find their niche at the college through a vast number of student organizations and network with future doctors thanks to a strong relationship between our college and the Ohio Optometric Association. OSU Optometry strives to provide a comprehensive, well-rounded education to best prepare our students for their futures as doctors of optometry in whichever modes of practice they choose.
