Despite its different pathophysiology, Normal Tension Glaucoma (NTG) is treated the same way as Primary Open Angle Glaucoma, by using Glaucoma medications to lower IOPs by 30% from the patient’s baseline IOP. However, with NTG, make sure that the patient has progressive visual field loss before you start to treat them.
