I came up with this acronym to remember what to look for when evaluating an optic nerve head for suspicion of glaucoma.

Just remember: LONG CRAB SHIP.

L: laminar dot sign
O: overall disc size and color
N: notching, NFL defect
G: glaucomatous neuropathy (total)
C: C/D ratio, nasal cupping
R: rim tissue remaining
A: proximal arteriole constriction
B: bayonnetting, barring
S: shunt vessels
H: hemes
I: ISNT rule
P: Peripapillary atrophy
